PK3 & PK4

Early Childhood

A child’s first classroom should be calm, warm, and unmistakably a classroom. Ours is where three- and four-year-olds meet letters, numbers, and one another.

The Program

Where school begins

Early Childhood at Discovery Prep serves children in PK3 and PK4. The day has a shape to it: a greeting, a lesson, work at a table, time to move, a story. Children learn that a classroom is a place where you listen, where you try, and where finishing something matters.

We teach from books and real materials rather than screens. Children hold the page, trace the letter, count the object. That physical contact with learning is the point — it is what makes the knowledge stick, and what makes a five-year-old ready for kindergarten.
